First Blogger Entry of 2012
It is 5:12 am on a Sunday. I fell asleep pretty soon after I got home, and I woke up about 20 minutes ago. Restful but unsatisfying sleep.
My bad, blogger! I've been tumbling away and neglected you. Tumbling has this appeal to the eye because it allows you to reblog the pretty pictures and the endlessly funny posts that you encounter.
Craving a nice hearty breakfast of eggs, sausage, and potatoes.

Tonight was the first praise night of 2012 at my big's church. The preacher Jimmy shared a powerful testimony. You have to die to yourself and cling to the cross. He said that's the only way to truly be saved.
He was right on the spot when he mentioned how always trying to do the right thing and trying to be nice and moral isn't the "Christian" thing to do. Being Christian isn't about being goody goody. It's more about loving God, so you love people. You want to be Holy because Jesus is Holy, and you want to embody him through yourself so that when other people look at you, they say, "Who are youu?!"
I think tonight was also the first time I felt fear when listening to a sermon. Jimmy said that we must cling to the cross if we are to be saved. God will hold us accountable for all the thoughts, motives, and actions we've ever committed. God is majestic, just, and perfect. Standing before a holy and perfect God, I without a single doubt will have so many sins.
I don't know the first step, how to begin. How do I tackle this?

Peace in times of trouble
To say that "prayer changes things" is not as close to the truth as saying, "Prayer changes me and then I change things." God has established things so that prayer, on the basis of redemption, changes the way a person looks at things. Prayer is not a matter of changing things externally, but one of working miracles in a person's inner nature.

August!
Summer 2011 is coming to an end :(. I feel it settling in. from deep within (actually not that deep).. the fluttery antsy feeling of not wanting to return to school. The funny thing is about midway through summer vacation, I was actually looking forward to going back. I feel like this summer was different from other summers because I got a glimpse of the "real world." People talk about this all the time. They talk about it as if the world that we're living in right now as students isn't real. I wasn't sure what this meant, but now I feel like I have a slightly better understanding of what this means. I learned the difference between a job and a career. Having an unhappy job can lead to sadness :(.. I want to love what I do each day!

Haven't updated in a long while!
Summer 2011 has started. I think it's been about 2-3 weeks since I took my last final. It feels like a long time has passed already though. Looking for a summer job to keep busy and productive this summer. I've applied to quite several on Starr but no good response yet =\! This week, I have to wake up earlyyyy and be poh-fessional. Nah means? Waking up past noon feels like I've wasted my summer day :(. Gotta enjoy every minute!

What a week!
At the beginning, this week seemed like it was going to be stressful! and it was :\. ahhh tired! The worst type of sleepless night is when you constantly wake up at intervals. If you only have 30 min to sleep, it's best to sleep peacefully for the entire 30 minutes. I kept waking up like every 5-7 minutes or so to check the time, and it wound up being the same as if I hadn't slept at all.
Being young means to be full of energy!! Gotta get ma ENERGY BACK! >: D

Nutella = Devil's food
Chocolate in a jar. This is not part of a well-balanced breakfast like the picture on the front tries to convince you it is... Half or most of it is pure fat/palm oil! And yet, I ate 1/2 the jar -______-. Dad, why you gotta make life harder?!? He said he bought it because it's tasty and he wanted me to try! :) aww sweet papa. HOWEVER, I told him nutella was evil, and he just laughed. Papa knows good food too :] It runs in the family. I can't look at the jar. If i do, Ill finish the rest of it and open up a new jar.
uh oh.
